Switchback AAR: After Action Reviews

Stopping to analyze what has just happened and why it happened is a powerful debriefing process. Switchback AAR’s are unique in that they include the Switchback individual, team and culture FRAMEWORKS as the backdrop for the conversation and analysis. The Switchback AAR process has the potential to highlight deep learning for understanding complex situations and the corrective actions to take moving forward.

Switchback CISM: Critical Incident Stress Management

When disaster hits it is important to have help on the ground as soon as possible. Priority one is to look after those directly affected. Priority two is to stop the secondary negative effects of the incident. These secondary effects can ripple out for years with most individuals not connecting the fallout to the incident. Walking into an operation after someone has lost their life is a sacred moment. Quickly establishing a local strategic response can often lessen the negative effect of the investigative process.
